Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG Location: Earth Event Time: 2026-06-05T12:06Z ( ACE: MAG ) Quality of ICME Signature: 2 (clear signatures) Note: Characterized by a reconfiguration of the magnetic field components and solar wind speed within the arrival signature beginning at 2026-06-05T04:23Z associated with the arrival of CME: 2026-06-03T01:53Z. B_total rises from 13.59nT to 20.02nT peak at 2026-06-05T12:22Z. B_z rapidly flips northward and southward throughout the signature, reaching a southward peak of -17.12nT at 2026-06-05T12:33Z. Solar wind speed increases from ~570 km/s to a peak ~740 km/s by 2026-06-05T19:45Z, with an initial increase in temperature that trends with solar wind speed. Density data is variable over this second structure. This second part of the arrival signature is associated with the arrival of CME: 2026-06-03T11:48Z.
